According to the recently released report from Uganda Coffee Development Authority, In the 12 months from September 2023- August 2024, Uganda exported 6.39 Million bags ( 60Kg) of coffee worth US$ 1.35 Billion

August 2024 alone, coffee exports amounted to 837,915 bags worth US$ 221.63 Million.

Italy was the No 1 market destination followed by Germany. Unfortunately, my beloved United Kingdom is not on the list of top ten destinations for Uganda’s coffee.

As my brother Robert Byaruhanga (Current President Uganda Coffee Federation) can tell you, there are various very good investment opportunities along the coffee value chain in Uganda.
Uganda is currently one of Africa’s largest exporters of coffee beans. The Government has set an ambitious plan of increasing annual production of coffee to 20 Million bags by the year 2030. The aim is to work hard so that Uganda becomes world’s 3rd largest coffee producer after Brazil and Vietnam.

We welcome and we will assist foreign companies who would like to come to Uganda and invest in the coffee value chain.
